The Manager will contribute to the overall success of the Retail Credit Provisions in International Banking ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. They will ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Assist in the design the divisional credit provisioning analytics framework and portfolio evaluation process, ensuring ongoing adequacy of the international credit reserves is supported by advanced analytics. Exercises judgment while employing various data techniques and procedures to obtain insights.
  • Assist in the design, develop and implement financial risk management provision forecast reports across international portfolios and with end-to-end workflow solution along with ETL process, database solutions, program coding and data visualization tools. Gathers information across various sources to complement reserve forecasting and manages end to end design, development, maintenance and management of database provisions details.
  • Contribute in the consolidation and aggregation of International Retail Provisions metrics for both Actuals, Plan and Forecast metrics, establishing controls that are aligned with the Bank's end user control (EUC) directive.
  • Assist in the provisioning methodology (IFRS9) by validating information, running models, and ensuring the results obtained are as expected.
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, validity and completeness of the information and models used for provision assessment under the IFRS 9 methodology.
  • Contributes to the internal and external audit process, including SOX controls and compliance with external regulations including OSFI and IFRS.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Previous experience in Credit Risk analytics such as predictive analytics and data mining.
  • Prior loan loss provision and financial modelling would be an asset.
  • Integrity, high attention to detail, thoroughness and accuracy are critical to ensure quality outputs.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential in dealing with many senior internal and external stakeholders, as well as preparing reports for Executive Management.
  • Tools commonly used (intermediary): Power BI, Google Cloud, SQL and Python
  • Solid organizational and time management skills to manage competing activities within short time frames.
  • An undergraduate degree in a quantitative subject (Economics/ Accounting/ Finance/STEM discipline). With preferred post graduate qualifications (CFA, CPA, FRM etc.)
