Within the Global Data Integration & Service Management service area, the Global MDM studio is uniquely positioned to add value and have impact for customers from every business, enabling area, and member firm in the Deloitte network. We develop new and innovative ways to deploy master data solutions across the organization, leveraging our global scope and strength to serve our organization within and across borders.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Assists with ideation, project initiation or business analysis planning tasks for projects of high complexity.
  • Act as liaison between business and technical areas and capable of leading a multifunctional team on projects.
  • Provides expertise in domain through analysis and understanding of business needs. Applies an advanced knowledge of programs, policies, and procedures in a business area or technical field gained through extensive experience and training.
  • Leads, plans, and consults on information gathering sessions.
  • Confirm that business priorities are enabled by data architecture designs, proposed data workflows, and overall product functionality.
  • Discovers, synthesizes, and analyzing information from a variety of sources within an enterprise, including systems, processes, documentation, and people.
  • Elicitation of internal and external business user's requirements as well as functional specification using interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, task and workflow analysis, etc.
  • Hands on management of business and detailed functional requirements management activities, requirements/user stories documentation and socialization. Identification of problem areas, gaps or conflicts derived from gathered information.
  • Identify and highlight problem areas, gaps or conflicts derived from information gathered.
  • Coach and mentor junior staff leading an inclusive work environment where teamwork, self-motivation, diversity and belonging are essential.
  • Manage and counsel team members to expand their knowledge, optimize their contributions and enhance their professional development, including offshore delivery professionals.
  • Communicate with program managers, scrum masters, application developers, subject matter experts, end users and/or executives, using a deep understanding of business processes and technology to achieve their desired outcomes.
  • Manage business stakeholder activities in conjunction with releases, e.g., project status updates, knowledge transfer sessions, deployment enablement, training development, communications.
  • Defines the actual needs of stakeholders—which frequently involves investigating and clarifying their expressed desires—in order to determine underlying issues and causes.
  • Prepare documentation on expected benefits, use cases, current / proposed process, workflows, data flows, process re-engineering studies, functional specifics, risk integration, end-user adoption plans/guides and organization structures.
  • Refinement of requirements using critical evaluation techniques, focus groups, meetings, negotiation, systems knowledge, and experience.
  • Participates in the analysis and technical design efforts of complex projects and business processes.
  • Create or contribute to functional designs, leveraging advanced and/or specialized technical knowledge. May help design application prototypes.
  • Provides business expertise across projects to ensure a consistent resolution of common technology issues.
  • Organize and facilitate user acceptance testing with business and external technical stakeholders.
  • Support development and testing activities, clarifying requirements and ensuring alignment throughout the entire development cycle.
  • Follows change control process to manage changes to baselined deliverables and scope for projects of high complexity.
  • Develop and conduct group/end user training.
  • Contribute to the development of firm and industry standards and support adoption of best practices.
  • Provide recommendations to improve business analyst practices within the area.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

  • University degree on computer systems, business administration, or related area.
  • Minimum of 7 years in technology product management and/or business analysis related experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with Master Data Management (MDM) systems, implementations, and/or methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability in applying repeatable quality assurance processes and methods to enterprise-wide technology projects or initiatives.
  • Advanced SQL (SSMS and Oracle), data profiling, data analysis, data governance, and validation experience.
  • Capable of sorting, processing, and analyzing data from a variety of formats (JSON, XML, TXT) and technologies (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Data Management (IDMC) solutions, SQL, SSIS, PERL, Azure Data Factory).
  • Demonstrated experience with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies, including Agile Scum, SAFe, and Waterfall.
  • Strong offshore management and remote collaboration skills are a must.
  • Experience in dealing with multiple projects simultaneously with cross-functional teams, and ability to coordinate across teams in a large matrix organization environment.
  • Experience in problem-solving to complex problems, working along with team members. Capable of finding root causes to master data quality issues across a global ecosystem.
  • Thoughtful decision maker who is able to bring actionable and grounded recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Communicates effectively and is able to articulate deeply technical topics to business representatives, coupled with influencing skills and ability to drive agreement.
  • Ability to focus on delivering meaningful impact towards organizational goals with self-drive to make a difference and seeing things through until reaching desired objectives.
  • Exceptional collaborative skills and supportive of a multicultural, multifunctional team.

Preferred:

  • Masters in business or information management subjects is an asset.
  • Deep knowledge in Informatica MDM multidomain is an asset.
  • Internationally recognized certification on Business Analysis and/or Business Data Analysis is highly desirable.
  • Program Management experience/certification is desirable.
  • Experience with data storytelling & visualization support with business intelligence tools.
  • Experience in programming is a plus.Capable of working with a Release Train Engineer (RTE) or related role in preparation and facilitation of planning interval sessions.

Total Rewards


The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $156,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
