We are looking for a Finance Operations Manager to join BrokerLink and work out of our Alberta, Ontario or Atlantic region. On a Permanent FT Basis.

The Position:

We are looking for a results-driven Finance Operations Manager with over 7 years of experience in Accounts Payable and Cash Management. Expertise in optimizing cash flow, streamlining accounts receivable processes, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Proven ability to lead teams, reduce delinquency rates, and implement effective financial controls to support organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process (including employee expense reports), ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing, approval and.
  • Monitor vendor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and resolve any discrepancies or disputes.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, tax regulations, and internal controls.
  • Prepare and review reports related to payables, including aging reports, accruals, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Experience in managing payment terms with vendors.
  • Experience in implementing accounts payable modules such as Oracle.
  • Assist with audits, reconciliations, and financial reporting as required.
  • Oversee daily cash flow activities, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations while optimizing cash utilization
  • Develop and mange short-and long-term cash flow forecasts, analyzing variances and improvement opportunities
  • Manage banking relationships on a day-to-day basis
  • Implement and maintain internal controls and safeguard financial assets
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulations and audit requirements
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts payable and banking teams to achieve performance goals and maintain high morales.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address billing discrepancies and streamline processes.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, ensure compliance with IFRS and other regulatory requirements.

The Successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field or extensive relevant experience specific to this field
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable and Cash flow management
  • Advanced Microsoft excel skills
  • Excellent communication, and problem- solving skills
  • Canadian CPA Designation (CPA) (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in Epic and Oracle (Preferred)
  • Experience with AP automation tools or software (Preferred)
