Supports Financial Planning and Analysis in Technology Finance ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationship and leverage broader Bank relationships, system and knowledge.

• Preparation of month-end and quarter-end reporting deliverables which includes:
• Ensure completeness and reasonability of financial information such as Software, FTE, Contractors, Capex, Discretionary etc.
• Understand the relevant performance of plan, forecast vs actuals.
• Review of monthly/quarterly results

• Actively participate in the annual planning & quarterly forecasting.
• Supports the development of Finance reports as requested, endeavor to improve financial information.
• Handle End to End invoicing and cost allocation process for vendors
• Prepare and submit Annual Smartbuy / Coupa PO for approval
• Ensure invoices are reconciled and paid in timely manner
• Determine and prepare monthly charge-out entries
• Prepare and submit accruals as necessary
• Prepare and distribute reports as necessary

• Supports the Director and Sr. Manager in the information gathering process and analysis for strategic and tactical projects requested by senior management.
• Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of Technology Finance in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conducts, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

• Accounting designation (CPA/CMA/CGA) preferred with at least 5 years related work experience.
• Solid business acumen and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication abilities to execute varied activities within tight deadlines and deliver with a great amount of accuracy and completeness whilst demonstrating excellent time management skills.
• Good proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office
