The Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (Asset Management) plays a key role in supporting the asset management leaders in helping them execute on their financial strategies and overall financial performance. The Manager is responsible for providing greater financial insight to the business lines partners (internal and external views), management and coordination of planning within Asset Management, and improve the financial production effectiveness. The incumbent reports to the Senior Manager, and works in close partnership with the business leaders, CB Finance, and other business partners, to drive insightful analysis, and continuously looks for opportunities for process optimization. The Manager is required to demonstrate strong leadership skills to drive adoption of new financial planning (budgeting and forecasting) processes and procedures within Asset Management.
A key part of the role is to manage business relationships and provide deep-analytics and insights to support the business and drive business results. This includes conducting research and analysis based on industry and competitive intelligence (such as IFIC statistics, etc), and structuring / organizing data and building efficient reporting solutions. In addition, the Manager, is also responsible for managing the - (1) monthly / quarterly reporting, (2) development of the annual financial plans, (3) and quarterly forecasts for the business. The incumbent is also responsible for maintaining and continuous improvement of the management reporting system for Canadian Asset Management Finance and to support finance-related issues for the division.
