The incumbent will be responsible for assisting Investor Relations (IR) with communicating the Bank's financial performance and strategy to the investment community. The incumbent supports the team and plays a significant role in the preparation of key IR deliverables. The incumbent will develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and will be involved in the day-to-day tasks of the team.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will work on:

Quarter-End and Year-End Reporting Deliverables

  • Quarter-end reporting is a key component of the Investor Relations communication strategy. It is considered a major information source for institutional buy and sell side professionals, as well as for retail investors. The Manager, Investor Relations contributes to the preparation of key quarterly deliverables including the Analyst Presentation and Marketing Deck and internal management deliverables. This preparation process requires a high level of organization and attention to detail and includes liaising with other departments of the Bank and managing, gathering, compiling, and checking a large volume of information.

Tracking Analyst Estimates

  • The Manager, Investor Relations assists in tracking estimates published by the Bank's sell side analysts. This plays a crucial role for the IR team in prepare briefing materials and potential questions for the Executive Management.

Annual Rating Agency Reviews

  • The Manager, Investor Relations assists in preparing materials for the annual rating agency reviews. The Bank has relationships with all the major rating agencies, that is, Standard & Poors, Moody's, Fitch and DBRS.

Management Marketing

  • Investor Relations utilizes third-party vendors for market intelligence, for tracking buy and sell side activity of the Bank's securities. The Manager, Investor Relations supports this by helping prepare and co-ordinate the meetings, logging and tracking meetings, and preparing analysis based on market intelligence.

Other

  • There are several other projects and ad hoc requests that requires the Manager, Investor Relations participation. These include Investor Days, preparation of material for various leadership meetings, Board reporting, etc.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • A strong understanding of financial statements and associated disclosure is needed for all key aspects of the role
  • High proficiency with MS PowerPoint and MS Excel is mandatory (i.e. familiarity with Excel shortcuts and formulas and ability to manipulate data in an efficient and accurate manner (beyond pivot tables, etc.)).
  • Familiarity with any of Factset, CapIQ, Thomson ONE, Bloomberg
  • Excellent organizational and communication (written, verbal, presentation) skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Self-motivated; able to work in a team and independently
  • Experience in the Financial Institutions industry is preferred
