This is a hybrid position with 2 days a week in our Toronto offices.

We are looking for a candidate who is a self-starter, persuasive storyteller, critical thinker, and problem solver. They are an excellent writer, highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about building employee collaboration, development and workforce retention. They bring experience leading company-wide internal communications, excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and are collaborative, adaptable, and tenacious.

This role identifies business needs and delivers effective communications and learning and performance-focused programs for the assigned portfolio to support the business/group strategy. Develops, promotes, maintains, and actively manages designated learning program(s), performing periodic reviews, analyzing program outcomes, providing insights, and making recommendations for enhancements / changes. Ensures the effective and efficient execution of all program components, including ensuring change management and communications are in place.

  • Refine and optimize internal communication channels and deliver customized communication to internal teams in support of current programs and initiatives
  • Partner with Finance Leadership team, Finance PMO, HR and other key stakeholders to develop, execute and maintain requisite Learning & Development Plan and on-going teams training.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for the designated program(s).
  • Influence and negotiate to achieve business objectives.
  • Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Review the program for effectiveness, consider industry trends and recommend enhancements; make changes as required.
  • Design measurable sustainment strategies including assessing and recommending mitigations for industry/ segment-specific risks and prioritizing opportunities presented by internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define the business/group learning strategy to achieve business objectives; recommend for approval.
  • Develop viable tactical strategies and participate in the development of the recommendations for short and longer term plans including preparing business cases and monitoring of business objectives.
  • Monitor and track program performance, and address any issues.
  • Investigate, analyze, document and mitigate program risks and advise any issues or concerns to senior leaders.
  • Support the development of the learning program strategy ensuring that key goals are delivered and are aligned to overall BMO goals.
  • Develop solutions and makes recommendations based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs.
  • Support the design, development, and management of effective learning and performance-focused solutions (e.g. assess client needs, develop the learning strategy, design program, and identify delivery methods and methodology).
  • Work on a variety of projects, initiatives and platforms / mediums to support the execution of business strategies according to required timelines and budgets while maintaining a high level quality in all output.
  • Ensure the delivery of learning strategies, courses and programs to leaders and employees to enable them to meet performance objectives related to enterprise and business/group goals; facilitate learning courses and programs.
  • Build effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment between stakeholders.
  • Support the execution of strategic initiatives; include tracking metrics and milestones.
  • Support change management of varying scope and type; tasks typically focused on execution and sustainment activities.
  • Support the development of tailored messaging, which may include writing, editing, and distributing communications.
  • Continuously monitor industry developments and continuously update programs to ensure they are competitive and effective.
  • Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
  • Work independently and regularly handle non-routine situations.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

    Qualifications:

  • Typically between 5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in learning design and facilitation - In-depth.
  • Program management skills - In-depth.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on execution - In-depth.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.

Salary:

$68,000.00 - $126,000.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
