What is the opportunity?

In this role, the incumbent will be supporting Shared Services - Data Service Delivery team at RBC Investor Services (IS) which provides security Masterfile as well as Pricing data to RBC IS core business systems globally. The activity is covered on a 24/5 basis through a Follow The Sun model with a presence in Asia, Europe and North America.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for global price delivery for North America, Continental European and Asian clients (Global pricing model)
  • Take on a critical role in assisting and facilitating the Target Operating Model (TOM) for DSD Canada.
  • To provide direction and support to a team of Pricing Analysts focusing on security pricing and client instructions which impact valuations, and client statements.
  • Accountable for the quality of the services delivered & for the management of a team or an activity - First level of escalation
  • Accountable for procedures' validation and implementation and setting clear business objectives for all reports appraisals
  • Promote quality client service by motivating, coaching and developing team members
  • Identify and share development and training needs, design training plan for the year
  • Ensure all client deliverables are met, implement client specific requirements, and develop workable customized solutions for clients as required.
  • Ensure that all securities are priced where possible and delivered via our various applications in order to meet client needs, supported via various SLA (Service Level Agreements), Controls and Procedures.
  • Ensure that all securities are priced at month-end in order to produce complete and accurate client statements from custody platforms
  • Establishing communication networks with all business units for the receipt of pricing data
  • Accountable for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the Team
  • Actively support global operating model for activities under responsibilities

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 3+ years of work experience in a relevant field
  • University degree
  • Transparent communication (across several jurisdictions)
  • Capacity to juggle between priorities and manage pressure with efficient time keeping
  • Business and Financial Services Acumen, Strong knowledge of markets, securities, and pricing methodologies
  • Knowledge of compliance and industry requirements and understanding of domestic and global investment markets
