The Manager, Registration is an integral member of the Global Compliance & AML team, you will be at the forefront of upholding the highest standards of accountability and transparency within our Compliance Program. This role contributes to the success of our team with their insightful analyses and impactful executive reports. This dynamic role is at the heart of our strategic endeavors, providing unparalleled support to leadership and playing a pivotal role in shaping the future across our global landscape. The incumbent is a guardian of excellence, ensuring that every action aligns with the highest standards of regulations and internal policies, all while pushing the boundaries of what's possible.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Serves as a key resource in the creation and upkeep of high-impact presentations. These are designed for Stakeholder and leadership audiences to drive decisive action on strategic recommendations and to ensure strict adherence to established policies and processes at the enterprise level (e.g., Chief Compliance Officer Opinion Report, Compliance Risk Oversight Committee Report, and Ad Hoc reports).
  • Occupies a crucial position in aiding the Global Compliance & AML leadership team and other cross-functional teams to orchestrate strategic initiatives and ensure meticulous execution as required. (e.g., Global Compliance resource planning, strategy development, forecast planning)
  • Provides strategic assistance to local leadership by aiding in the formulation and execution of key strategies that are in harmony with the organization's objectives.
  • Leads large-scale team events, both domestically and internationally, to strengthen team cohesion and uphold company culture.
  • Fosters and sustains strategic partnerships with external entities, in alignment and fulfillment of the department's strategic vision.
  • Manages logistics for leadership in-country visits, including travel and accommodations, to ensure flawless facilitation of in-country business events and high-profile meetings.
  • Continuously seeks methods to enhance process efficiency through automation and standardization.
  • Comprehends and integrates the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture into daily activities and decision-making processes.
  • Provide leadership in innovation and automation across the function, including continuous improvement initiatives to achieve sustainable and scalable enhancements.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 2+ years of experience working in a Leadership/People Management capacity
  • 3+ years of experience in strategic roles in banking/financial services
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience using Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with the bank's Global Registrations process is highly desirable
  • A keen eye for presentation design and the ability to distill complex concepts and analyses into clear, easy-to-understand presentations
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic business environment
  • Able to manage multiple activities to aggressive deadlines
  • Experienced in developing reports and communications for stakeholders and leadership
