As Manager of Secured Lending Process, you will lead the credit adjudication process for the Real Estate Secured Lending business line and advocate for its continuous improvement - enabling more business while maintaining the bank's security. You are a subject matter expert in credit, applying your expertise to clarify and enhance policies and processes in support of our customers and sales teams.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Serve as the custodian of the secured lending process, ensuring procedures, guides, manuals, and all field communications align with policy direction.
  • Advocate for our sales channels by sourcing ideas to enhance the secured lending process, evaluating them, and seeing them through to implementation.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for secured lending processes, regularly providing policy clarification to front-line sales teams.
  • Lead the design and continuous improvement of the mortgage process from origination to servicing.
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships while leveraging broader bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
  • Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • A university degree and 3+ years of financial services or relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of the real estate secured lending business (an asset).
  • Expert knowledge of credit, the underwriting process, and lending policies.
  • Expertise in the end-to-end real estate secured lending process (from origination to underwriting, funding, and servicing).
  • A passion for advocating for customers through policy, process, and experience enhancements.
  • An innovative and critical-thinking mindset, with a track record of driving results.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex organizations and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
