What is the opportunity?

You will provide regulatory and project support to the Senior Manager of the US Tax Reporting team. This team is responsible for meeting US tax reporting requirements including the preparation and filing of US tax forms (945, 1099, 1042, 1042-S etc.), tax remittances and custodial reconciliation.

What will you do?

  • Research, analyze and interpret changes to US tax regulations that impact QI reporting
  • Provide leadership for projects related to new initiatives and system enhancements
  • Analyze existing processes and procedures with the intent of identifying ways to improve client service, increase efficiency and reduce risk
  • Work with internal developers and team members to design, develop and implement solutions that improve current processes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on US tax regulations that impact QI reporting

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • In-depth knowledge of US tax regulations for Qualified Intermediary including Sections 302, 305(c), 871(m) and 1446 of the Internal Revenue Code
  • 5+ years' experience in QI related role
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including MS Access and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have:

  • Project management experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access, ClientSource, BTS, ServiceLink
