This structure offers a unique chance to make a significant impact in a critical area while potentially opening doors to diverse career paths within our growing organization.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Collaborate with HR business partners and external vendors to design, develop, implement, and administer an integrated incentive compensation system.

  • Create standardized and repeatable processes for managing share ownership plans, including determining redemption request timing, fair value assessments, and settlement requirements.

  • Ensure strong governance and financial controls are in place for all compensation-related deliverables.

  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports and analytics for compensation programs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS 2 (Share-based Payment) and IAS 19 (Employee Benefits).

  • Lead the financial modeling and analysis for existing and proposed compensation plans, assessing their impact on the company's financial statements and strategic objectives.

  • Manage the financial aspects of Management Equity Programs (MEP), including cash flow projections, fair value calculations, and coordination with Corporate Development for approvals.

  • Develop and maintain financial data models to provide compensation insights for FP&A decision-making, particularly regarding headcount growth and staffing costs.

  • Partner with tax and legal experts for compliance with compensation-related regulations. Gather and organize accurate compensation data to support efficient analysis. Collaborate to understand data needs, improve collection processes, and maintain current information for timely compliance efforts.

  • Collaborate with finance teams across affiliates to standardize and improve compensation-related financial processes and controls.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting skills with strategic financial acumen to drive effective compensation financial management and reporting.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.

  • Ability to lead a team of project managers to design, implement, and manage complex compensation projects

  • Leadership experience in managing a team of experts in complex financial modeling and sensitivity analysis.

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field. Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA) strongly preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in financial roles, with significant exposure to compensation accounting and reporting.

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 2 and IAS 19.

  • Experience with financial reporting and compliance in the asset management or financial services sector.

  • Expertise in complex financial modeling and sensitivity analysis.

  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including advanced Excel skills. Experience with SAP, Oracle, and/or Tableau is an asset.
