The primary role of a Relationship Executive is to act as an "individual contributor" to the firm, originating, growing and retaining profitable relationships within the Commercial Banking space. You will be asked to meet business development goals, seeking opportunities to offer multiple products and solutions to clients and prospect as you anticipate their future needs. As a Relationship Executive, you will focus on the delivery of value added solutions to our clients and prospects that will help them reach their goals and maximize our revenues over the life of the relationship. This role is focused on coverage in Ontario with emphasis on the greater Toronto area.

Relationship Executives develop a weekly coverage plan prioritizing revenue generating opportunities. They are responsible for cultivating referral sources, institutionalizing relationships, and calling tenaciously on clients and prospects. Specific calling goals are developed with a strong emphasis on in-person meetings with clients and prospective clients. Key skillsets, attributes and behaviors include:

  • Strong familiarity with corporate credit structuring and negotiation
  • Collaboration skills and ability to lead complex deal teams
  • Champion a culture of innovation and a customer centric mindset
  • Stay up to date with industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation or strategic partnerships
  • Leveraging technology to optimize efficiency, data analytics, research and prioritization of opportunities
  • Familiarity with investment banking services to facilitate collaboration with IB partners
  • Experience and familiarity with treasury services / cash management needs of corporate clients

Job Experience

  • Extensive experiencein commercial or corporate lending and
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Understanding of Commercial Banking products and services
  • Knowledge of the local market
  • Ability to mobilize internal networks and resources
  • Formal credit training preferred
  • Demonstrated experience of meeting or exceeding sales goals; proven top individual contributor
