Middleware Support and Developer

What is the Opportunity?

In this role, you will participate in the technical design, development, implementation, and support of RBC PC middleware APIs to ensure the integrity of data. A successful candidate is self-motivated, who has the initiative to expand their knowledge/expertise and look for ways to extend/enhance our offerings to the RBC software community.

What Will You Do?

• Provides development support to customer applications in the usage of RBC PC middleware APIs.

• Creates test transactions and run tests to find errors and revise high-performance, efficient APIs and engines.

• Participate in post-implementation reviews of application development content and processes; continually working to create a learning environment by sharing about the participation process with others.

• Delivers new design and development specifications based on customer requirements, while adhering to standard procedures and techniques.

What Do You Need to Succeed?

Must have:

• Undergraduate degree in computer science or computer engineering

• Solid computer programming skills with Java/C/C++

• The ability to pick up technology quickly.

• Enjoy taking ownership of your work in an environment where leadership is a shared responsibility.

• Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience or understanding of Application Programming Interface (API) usage, design and creation.

• Experience or understanding Middleware, Windows Development

• Experience or understanding IBM MQ, Networking protocols.

• Experience or understanding Mainframe Technologies, IBM z/OS, Linux
