Your Day as a Project Manager

Project Management Office Coordination

  • Understand the third-party project agreements and enforce those agreements from a financial standpoint.
  • Maintain a record of project invoices and ensure payments are made on time.
  • Track, document and update the project budgets for the entire project portfolio.
  • Prepare monthly project portfolio budget reports to the CIO to control project costs.
  • Aligning the technology leads on project progress through monthly project portfolio meetings, including getting updates on projects, hosting the meetings and sending out meeting notes and action items.
  • Formulate recommendations for use to improve project management practices.

Project Management

  • Initiate and plan small size projects and establish and maintain timelines.
  • Understand the project scope and maintain the original scope as well as the changes.
  • Establish and maintain a climate of trust with the project teams including technology and business stakeholders and third-party vendors.
  • Host project meetings and take meeting minutes including kick off, status review, sprint review, escalation and upper leadership meetings.
  • Ensure the tasks in the project plan are completed on time and understand the impact of the delays to the overall timeline and dependency between tasks.
  • Manage the project budget including both vendors and internal resource allocation.
  • Document risk, decision and change logs.
  • Other miscellaneous duties and special projects as required.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of previous experience or knowledge in project management.
  • Good understanding of project management and agile methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective time management and strong organizational skills.
  • Critical thinking and Good presentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and timelines.
  • Ability to organize priorities based on deadlines.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project and Azure DevOps.
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
