What is the opportunity?

RBC Royal Bank is seeking a Non Functional Test Manager for our US Cash Management Program. You will be heavily involved in shaping the future technology landscape of RBC, by delivering key business values for a transformational project in our Banking Technology while implementing strategic components servicing across all RBC functions defined in our roadmap.

The Non-functional Test Manager role is responsible for assuring products meet all non-functional requirements including, but not limited to performance, scalability, usability and operability. This is a multi-faceted technical role. The Non-functional Test Manager will work collaboratively with product and business partners to define, develop and deliver the non-functional aspects of the Test Strategy with a focus on delivery.

What will you do?

• Creating or contributing to the creation of the Non-functional Test Strategy

• Delivering to agreed time, cost and quality standards

• Creating time and resource estimates

• Creating or overseeing the production of quality non-functional test artefacts

• Provide detailed status reports and MI tracking progress and logging and highlighting risks and issues

• Provide Test Completion reports (or equivalent) to Stakeholders

• Track progress of non-functional testing workstreams

• Work with stakeholders at all levels within the project and/or workstreams, and represent non-functional testing during project and/or workstream meetings

• Log and highlight risks and issues that may impact on the delivery schedule

• Provide information and input relating to non-functional testing into the Business signoff process

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have

• General understanding of public cloud, web application and API architecture patterns; Experience with test planning and test case design; Experience in managing a team of 5-10 team members
• Experience in Banking Domain - Online Banking, Payments etc; Experience in managing budget for QE team; Expert experience with quality management tools such as JIRA, and quality management process;
• Hands on and expert experience with DEVOPS and SRE tools like - Gremlin, Kvyos, Dynatrace, CI/CD pipeline
• Hands on experience in executing Resiliency test, Scalability test, Endurance test
• Experience working within an agile team and familiarity with agile methodology such as Scrum or Kanban.
