Salary Range: $20.22 to $25.28 per hour
Status: Permanent Full-Time

We are currently looking for an experienced Records Management Representative to support our Auto IE Team! The Records Management Representative performs data entry responsibilities, report uploading, billing activities, inbox management, inputting and maintenance of electronic medical records, and performs cross-functional and other duties consistent with the job classification as required.

The Records Management Representative also responds to requests to release patient information coming in from various sources including patients, law firms, insurance companies and other health care providers, ensuring that all requests to release patient information are completed in accordance with the Hospital's guidelines and as required by law.

Qualifications

  • Completion of High School education required
  • Completion of related College diploma and/or certificate (Health Records, Medical Record Management, Medical Office Administration) preferred
  • One (1) year or more of related experience required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Experience in working with Electronic Medical Records required (Telus Practice Solutions Suite preferred)
  • Exercise initiative and good judgement with the ability to multitask
  • Compliance with confidentiality requirements under UHN Privacy Policy
  • Ability to function independently with a high level of attention to detail
  • Knowledge of applicable legislative, UHN and/or departmental policies.
  • Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions, backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
