As a Business Development Analyst on the Investments, Canada team, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of our Investment business, partnering with large, sophisticated institutional investors such as pension funds, endowments and foundations across Canada. You will be joining a team of experienced investment professionals that place the needs of our clients at the center of everything we do. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work through all stages of the new business pursuit including RFP responses, finalist presentations, marketing materials, database management, competitor analysis as well as CRM and pipeline management.

The Role

  • Manage the RFP proposal process, including drafting through proposal software, coordinating team responses, and ensuring timely submissions.
  • Update and maintain the CRM system with business development activities, ensuring accurate client information and activity records, including meeting notes, call logs, AUM, and client categorizations.
  • Organize and maintain business development shared websites with a clean folder structure, accurate metadata, and effective document tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Maintain and update presentation slides and proposal response libraries.
  • Develop initial drafts of client presentation decks tailored to client needs and company standards.
  • Track and collect necessary documents from clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and validate various reports for accuracy and completeness to ensure data integrity.

Qualifications

The Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree with 1-3 years of experience
  • Progress towards CFA desirable
  • Interest in financial markets
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable in a team environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to work independently and manage time and projects individually
  • Ability to deliver high quality work while meeting deadlines
