What is the opportunity?

This role is for the Securities Reference Data Repository (SRDR) lead. The SRDR team manages Securities reference data for Capital markets and beyond. The platform has expanded tremendously in its offerings, coverage, and adoption. The primary responsibilities of this role are to design and manage the current platform, vendor product upgrade, technology stack, book of work pipeline and stakeholder management. The position requires good knowledge of an enterprise reference data system architecture and data distribution strategy primarily around Securities reference data. The role will provide opportunity to work closely with Architecture team and various FO/BO technology leaders in New York, Toronto, London, and India.

What will you do?

  • Drive Securities data platform architecture, strategy and BAU.
  • Manage platform enhancements for BAU and large business/regulatory/strategic programs.
  • Manage platform maintenance (Tech currency, Vulnerability management)
  • Champion in platform offerings to guide new consumer onboarding effectively.
  • Coordinate new consumer onboarding assessment, estimation and execution.
  • Proactively manage platform stability and Production issues remediation
  • Manage development team, vendors and stakeholder co-ordination.
  • Drive periodic major platform upgrades.
  • Produce and communicate appropriate level of status to senior management
  • Proactively identify operational risks/control deficiencies and put necessary controls.
  • Demonstrate technology leadership by collaboration with internal and external technology groups.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Strong leadership experience in managing teams & large organizational changes.
  • 10+ years of industry experience in architecture & software engineering role.
  • Ability to build & maintain partnerships with stakeholders for platform enhancements & adoption.
  • Solid experience in various aspects and challenges of Securities data management
  • Experience with various vendor feeds, data integration, life cycle and data distribution.
  • Solid understanding of data management principles, data quality & data governance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in data management tools, databases, event driven systems & modeling techniques.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to effectively collaborate and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Authoritative understanding of the agile development process & DevOps practices.

Nice to Have

  • 5+ years' experience working in Capital Markets
  • 5+ years technical experience in Java, Webservices, Kubernetes, Docker, SQL, Hadoop & Spark.
  • Big Data engineering (Data Lake).
  • Static code analyzers - NexusIQ, DAST, Sonar, Checkmarx, etc.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, & decision-making skills.
