What is the opportunity?

The Senior Account Manager is the relationship lead between the internal Creative Services agency and its clients across the Enterprise, most prominently, line of business and program marketers who engage Creative Services for their brand, marketing, and advertising needs. The Senior Account Manager is first and foremost, a relationship expert, whose primary objective is to support the marketer (client) in delivering a best-in-class response to the brief, helping them meet and exceed their marketing objectives in an efficient and effective manner when engaging Creative Services. This individual is also innately passionate about Creative and Business - seamlessly translating the marketing and business objectives into creative opportunities for the internal Creative Services agency.

They see themselves as a core business partner, travelling with the marketer where and when necessary to fully understand what the collective objectives are, the overarching business strategy, and the immediate needs, so that they may translate this to winning creative and brand strategies. This individual is an expert at both servicing their line of business and program marketing accounts as well as harnessing the potential of the entire Brand & Creative department to get to great work. In their daily communication they are focused on building meaningful, long-lasting relationships, connecting dots, delivering innovative solutions and pressure-testing ideas to ensure the most impactful advertising work is brought to life.

What will you do?

  • Support the development strategic marketing plans working with marketing teams
  • Ensure KPIs are met and develop a thorough understanding of RBC's brand, products and service offerings.
  • Ensure alignment, manage expectations, and, most importantly, protect the integrity of the work, even under pressure.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships and ensuring project programs are brought to life and then executed with excellence
  • Liaise between internal teams for effective program development and management positioned at the intersection of business and creativity.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key RBC marketing accounts acting as the primary point of contact
  • Understand each client's unique business objectives and expectations to develop tailored strategies that align with their goals
  • Act as the key relationship lead that works cross functionally with different marketing departments to guide the direction of internal product, marketing & creative teams as well as external agency partners

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Minimum 7 years in an account services role, liaising with external agencies stakeholders and internal stakeholders
  • Strong organizational abilities, proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while maintaining strict attention to detail
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand clients bigger picture goals. Proven track-record of delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • A natural people person with exceptional leadership and relationship management skills
  • Better than average presentation skills - comfortable leading meetings and presentations for small and large groups
