QuadReal Property Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant based in Vancouver or Toronto. The ideal candidate will have a CPA designation (or be working towards one), strong financial acumen, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team to meet strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Accounting: Manage full-cycle accounting for corporate revenues or projects, including invoicing, revenue accruals, and accounts receivable. Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Set up and maintain projects in the accounting system, including budgeting, cost tracking, and financial projections. Liaise with development teams, provide financial updates, and prepare loan draws and capital calls.
  • Review and approve leases, manage tenant recoveries, and ensure accurate setup in the Yardi recovery model. Handle year-end operating cost adjustments, capital, and leasing job cost reviews.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, compile audit files, and support internal and external audits. Prepare GST returns, manage HST reconciliations, and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Work closely with various teams to provide financial analysis, support acquisition and disposition activities, and ensure efficient and professional communication across departments.
  • Process Improvement: Provide input on improving procedures, enhancing quality, and driving efficiency in financial processes.

Qualifications:

  • CPA designation required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a consulting, corporate, real estate development or property accounting environment.
  • Proficiency in Yardi, Excel, and other relevant software.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
