Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Compliance Learning, the Senior Analyst contributes to the overall success of the Global Compliance & AML Learning Team by supporting the design and delivery of learning programs in alignment with the team's strategy and objectives

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate with the Director and Senior Managers in the ongoing maintenance and improvement of the Global Compliance and AML learning program by:
    • Supporting the development of learning across the Global Compliance and AML Programs using various tools and formats to ensure effectiveness and a strong learner experience.
    • Coordinating online, hybrid and in-person learning programs across the Three Lines of Defense.
    • Assisting with Global Compliance and AML Learning Needs Assessment Process and the creation of our Annual Learning Plan.
    • Providing project management support on the development of new learning programs.
    • Tracking, analyzing and reporting on learning program completion and the evaluating the effectiveness and impact of our learning programs.
    • Ensuring all activities adhere to learning standards and follow governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
    • Responding to employees queries regarding learning programs and skill development.
    • Keeping abreast of global best practices in Compliance Learning and how it can be adopted to strengthen the delivery of the Learning Program.
    • Delivering instructor-led training on compliance and AML topics and skill development in-person, hybrid and online.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite & risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture, and conducting all activities in compliance with Scotiabank's Values, our Code, governing regulations, internal policies and procedures including AML/ATF/ sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption and the Global Sales Principles
  • Champion a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
  • Foster a client focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have experience with:

  • Post-Secondary education
  • 2+ years of professional experience in a learning or training role.
  • Experience using learning software such as Articulate 360, Rise, Storyboard or similar.
  • Experience using a Learning Management System.
  • Experience coordinating instructor led learning or training opportunities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in managing several ongoing assignments and competing priorities.
  • Results-driven focus, with strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to operate in a high performing, flexible and small team environment.
  • Experience in financial services is an asset
  • Knowledgeable about Scotiabank organizational structure, risk management, operational procedures, and business activities is an asset
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or French is an asset.
