You will contribute to the overall success of the Corporate Security Physical Threat Intelligence Unit and Legal & Corporate Affairs, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
Lead, conduct, and contribute to the analysis of existing and emerging physical threats and risks, stemming from vectors including but not limited to protest and unrest, crime, terrorism, conflict, and climate to discern implications for Scotiabank employees, business operations, and assets across the globe.
Contribute to the enhancement of Corporate Security's strategic intelligence capabilities through producing analytical forecasts of potential physical threats and risks to the Bank.
Independently prepare clear, concise, and actionable intelligence assessments to address intelligence requirements of key stakeholders across the Bank.
Effectively communicate insights via written products and oral briefings to senior level audiences, translating complex information into actionable recommendations for stakeholders within Corporate Security and across the Bank.
Provide subject matter expertise and support to stakeholders within Corporate Security and across the Bank, acting as a trusted resource for assessment of physical threat and risk.
Initiate and lead collaborative efforts with partners across the Scotiabank enterprise, including other Intelligence Units, to facilitate information sharing and joint analysis.
Contribute to the maintenance and evolution of the Physical Threat Intelligence Unit’s information and data collection effort to ensure intelligence requirements are appropriately addressed.
Contribute to the coaching and skillset development of Intelligence Analysts.
Assist Intelligence management in the implementation of new intelligence product lines to enhance physical threat and risk assessment capabilities. Identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and effectiveness of intelligence workflows for physical threat and risk assessment.

Strong oral and written communication skills, with demonstrated experience presenting analytic findings in a clear, concise, and actionable format.
Strong understanding of Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) tools and methodology.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Office, PowerPoint, Excel etc.)
Undergraduate degree in Political Science, Global Affairs, Journalism, Communications, Data Analysis, Criminology, Criminal Intelligence, or related/equivalent experience required.
Graduate degree in Intelligence Analysis, Political Science, Global Affairs, Data Analysis, Criminology, or related/equivalent experience is an asset.
3 – 5 years of experience in Intelligence Analysis, Criminal Intelligence Analysis, Law Enforcement, the Military, Financial Services, Information Technology, Data Analysis or a similar field is required
Previous intelligence experience in the private sector and/or in government/law enforcement at the federal, provincial, or municipal level is preferred.
Fluency in English required, Spanish is an asset

Responsible for the initial response to, and analysis of, intelligence requirements up to and including those which pose a potential risk to the Bank.
At times will be the sole intelligence representative responsible for production of short turnaround assessments on threats and risks to the Bank.
