Contributes to the overall success of the Global Transfer Pricing team by helping to ensure specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, Transfer Pricing Framework, and Global Transfer Pricing Policy.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Assist with the management and execution of Global Transfer Pricing charge outs by studying, analyzing, and applying the benefits test and value associated with the delivery of outbound charges to the Bank's foreign legal entities (branches & subsidiaries) for all head office support departments in Canada. This includes:
    • Timely and accurate reporting for quarterly global charge outs to International Banking (IB), Global Banking & Markets (GBM), year-end reporting to Global Taxation, and ad hoc reports as required.
    • Providing ongoing support and training to head office support groups that provide services to the Bank's business lines and legal entities.
    • Responding to inquiries and liaise with the head office (support) groups in helping to resolve disputes received from legal entities for quarterly head office charge-outs.
    • Maintain, update project database information by ensuring data is consistent and within regulatory standards.
  • Timely and accurate calculation of cost rates for quarterly transfer pricing charge outs by performing reasonability analysis on quarterly financial data sourced from EGL, including the preparation and posting of journal entries and business line adjustments.
  • Assist with the development / implementation of regular internal reporting to help manage the number of change requests currently in the GIST pipeline. The objective is to provide insights as to bottlenecks and root cause in order for meaningful management action to be taken.
  • Assist with ad hoc requests from key stakeholders and support the Transfer Pricing team by participating in special projects, as required.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Post-secondary degree in Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience.
  • Enrolled or actively pursuing Accounting designation
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and independent problem resolution skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient knowledge of financial and accounting systems: PeopleSoft - (EGL) & OBI, Smartview, SmartStream, and GIST Application.
  • Proficient MS Office user: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI & Alteryx
