What is the opportunity?

The Senior Art Director is a specialized, key creative leader within our enterprise-scale in-house agency. The role is responsible for driving contemporary visual storytelling techniques and design excellence across multi-channel marketing campaigns and assets. The Sr. Art Director will partner with and/or engage writers, strategists, designers, animators, and business stakeholders, to transform complex business objectives into compelling, brand-aligned creative solutions for diverse audiences. Project oversight can include motion graphics, video production, online, social, retail merchandising, print and collateral, plus internal and external communications and presentations. Success will require a deep understanding of brand systems, design principles, and emerging trends, along with a strong desire to push creative boundaries while maintaining consistency at scale.

What will you do?

  • Creative Leadership: Concept, develop, and execute high-impact visual ideas that align with business goals and brand standards.
  • Brand Stewardship: Ensure visual consistency across all creative outputs, evolving brand identity where necessary.
  • Campaign Development: Lead the design and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, social, and experiential touchpoints.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Sr. Account Manager, Copywriters, Designers, Project Managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver effective, audience-first creative solutions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Present and advocate for creative solutions with senior marketing, product, and executive stakeholders.
  • Mentorship & Team Growth: Provide guidance and feedback to junior designers, art directors, production artists and motion-design/animators, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation and accountability.
  • Innovation & Trends: Stay ahead of design, technology, and cultural trends, applying fresh thinking to elevate the brand. Identify and encourage sharing of best practices within the creative team.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 10-12 yrs experience working in digital and advertising agencies
  • Ability to communicate and present ideas and rationales as well as multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Top tier people leadership capabilities with experience building and coaching high performing and engaged teams
  • Ability to identify and deliver effective creative based on strategy
  • Strong eye for design and unique creative mind; ability to think and design for print, online media and motion graphics
  • Ability to produce conceptual ideas quickly
  • Aptitude for and understanding of digital communications / considerations
  • Ability to add value in communication with a focus on delivering effective, strategically aligned design solutions
  • Ability to conceptualize and design for a variety of channels and strong communication / presentation skills
  • Proven track record in creative and results driven programs.
  • Strong brand knowledge
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative fashion with a variety of personalities, sometimes under tight timing, while remaining firm yet professional
