What is the opportunity?

In the role of Sr. Expense Analyst, RBC Global Asset Management (GAM), you will provide support to the department leaders by monitoring monthly expense budgets, including regional budgets of sales teams, and key project budget tracking. Role will involve input/maintenance of expense tracking processes, assist in operating budgets, and independent analysis. Other opportunities to participate in monthly sales reporting may arise.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for monthly channel expense reporting within GAM of key trends, insights and developments for multiple channels

  • Develop expense reporting for the purpose of tracking forecasts and budgets within various channels.

  • Scope ideas for future enhancements to reporting analysis to ensure reporting is aligned with growing needs of channel trends

  • Manage invoice processing for various departments including tax code and GL identification

  • Key contact for expense related questions as well as support in SAP, Concur and Coupa enquiries

  • Support for RBC Finance team, Accounts Payable and other RBC groups for all expense enquiries

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • University undergraduate degree or equivalent

  • Excellent computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office Suite, and particularly in Excel and Powerquery

  • Familiarity with SAP expense module

  • Analytical thinker along with appropriate attention to detail

  • Possess strong written communication/interpersonal skills

Nice to Have

  • Strong knowledge/background in accounting policy and/or working towards an accounting designation

  • Experience using Concur and Coupa

  • An innovative self-starter, who works well under time/deadline pressure

  • Able to adapt quickly and function independently in an unstructured environment

  • Team player who works collaboratively with multiple teams
