Join our dynamic and innovative Hybrid Infrastructure Services Team, where cutting-edge technology meets a passion for driving organizational change! As a Senior Cloud Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of technology at RBC and gaining experience building and operating fully managed technology services in a hybrid Cloud environment.
What will you do?
Engineering:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and resilient hybrid Cloud services that align with organizational goals.
Automation is the key to sustainable success. As part of the Cloud Support team, you will be tasked to develop and implement automated solutions to streamline support delivery and services.
Identify and implement best practices for resource utilization and scalability in diverse infrastructure landscapes.
Security and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for various deployment models.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
Actively engage with application development and support teams to resolve evolving and ongoing issues on both Kafka and Elasticsearch platforms.
Respond to incidents promptly as part of on-call schedule, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
5+ years of professional experience; 2-3 years of development experience
Scripting and automation skills (eg. Shell, Ansible, Python) for infrastructure as code.
Experience with container technologies (eg. Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with Kafka either in a development or operations perspective.
Passion for debugging complex systems and have an eye for problems that occur at scale.
Care deeply about resiliency of systems and quality of the features you ship.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong desire to learn new skills and technologies.
Nice-to-have
AI based Chatbot development and implementation experience.
Software development experience in either Java, Go or Python
Familiarity with Elasticsearch either in a development or operations perspective.
