We are looking for a DevOps Engineer obsessed with efficiency and automation to be part of an autonomous team to deliver services for application teams across Retail Credit and Payments Systems. An open minded individual who is not afraid to fail fast and pivot when needed. An individual who seeks out gaps and challenges to drive efficiency not only for other application teams but also for their own team. Knowledge sharing is key in this respect.

What will you do?

  • Develop value-add services which integrate with the existing DevOps stack

  • Develop CI/CD pipelines using GitActions, Typescript, Python, Node.js, Jenkins and Urban Code Deploy

  • Coach application teams on how to leverage DevOps offerings

  • Support application team with pipeline issues during after hour releases

  • Champion developer-experience and best practices in conjunction with DevOps to ensure no developer is left behind

  • Evolve DevOps services beyond current state for application teams

  • Continuously create and update documentation for new and existing processes

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • 5+ years of development experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, SQL

  • 3+ years of DevOps experience across technologies with exposure to multiple projects using tools such as GitActions, Kubernetes or OpenShift, Docker, Jenkins, UrbanCode Deploy

  • An engineer mindset, SDLC experience with production class delivery, strong analytical mindset, communication skills, and sense of ownership / drive

  • Strong written and verbal communication, and troubleshooting skills

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with Mainframe/AIX

  • Experience Windows and Linux server administration and PowerShell and shell scripting

  • Experience with Elastic and Kibana

  • Experience building or supporting distributed applications

  • Experience with Agile methodologies
