Job Description
What is the opportunity?
Over the past decade, RBC has developed a best-in-class approach to Thought Leadership, with research reports, podcasts, social media and events that are designed to inform and inspire the kind of critical thinking Canada needs to prosper in the decade ahead. To strengthen our work and shape our priorities, we are seeking a Senior Director of Thought Leadership. The successful candidate will have a strong sense of national issues, especially from an economic policy perspective, and be able to guide a diversity of research ranging from a rapidly shifting geopolitical landscape to skills and post-secondary education to the impact the AI transformation will have on all aspects of our society. With our country's changing political landscape, our work to lead national conversations, convene government and private sector leaders, and facilitate bold action to advance Canada's place in the world will take on even greater importance.
This role involves delivering high-impact research, insights, and thought leadership aligned with strategic priorities, including geopolitics & trade, disruptive technology (AI adoption, clean tech), human capital (skills, education, demographics) and housing. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking leader with deep expertise of the Canadian economy and the key issues that shape our national agenda across policy and industry. They have a passion for driving prosperity and tackling Canada's most pressing challenges.
