What is the opportunity?
As part of the Group Risk Management (GRM) team, the Senior Director,
Risk Modeling will play a pivotal role in managing the suite of predictive credit risk models pertaining to retail products such as credit cards, mortgages, line of credit and automotive financing loans.
The incumbent will lead a team of data scientists, modelers, and analysts in developing state-of-the-art machine learning models to predict retail borrower credit risk; provide thoughts leadership to technology infrastructure enabling efficient analytics and execution robustness. Additionally, the incumbent will lead the forecasting of PCL for risk financial planning.
Core competencies for this role will include: strong people and leadership skills with a passion for developing a diverse range of direct reports into future leaders; exceptional communication skills with the ability to positively influence a broad range of key stakeholders; ability to effectively apply a strong set of analytical skills to identify core insights that will inform business strategy; ability to think outside the box to drive a client and employee experience that will enable the Bank to achieve premium growth while optimizing overall profitability; and lastly, have a strong bias for action and ability to adapt to the unforeseen and situations.
