What will your typical day look like?

Our Property & Casualty Actuarial Consulting business is rapidly expanding, and we are looking for leading talent to support this growth. Joining our team will provide you with unique opportunities to develop and hone skills, work on industry leading engagements, expand your internal and external networks and be a key contributor in the growth of our practice.   • Support and ultimately sign on our clients as Appointed Actuary
  • Work in a fast growing, challenging and rewarding environment with practitioners who are eminent in their respective areas of expertise (pricing, reserving and capital modelling)
  • Engage with clients by developing innovative solutions through R&D and discussion, both within our teams as well as with our clients

About the team

We offer our clients industry leading expertise and advice from our deep understanding of Insurance Companies and our broad global insurance experience. As a business we bring experts in their respective fields who provide solutions to the largest insurers in Canada. Our clients value our services not only due to the industry leading advice we provide around actuarial technical, legislative, and professional issues, but also due to our entrepreneurial mindset and our technology enabled solutions.

Enough about us, let's talk about you

You are someone with:

  • A Masters/ Bachelor's degree from a leading University in the fields Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science or Data Science
  • A Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) with at least 3 years post-fellowship experience in reserving.
  • 10 plus years Property & Casualty working experience in the industry within an insurance company, reinsurer, insurance broker or accounting / consulting firm
  • At least 3 years of experience working on Appointed Actuary consulting engagements in Canada, or as part of the team of an Appointed Actuary at an insurer.
  • (Advanced) Knowledge of actuarial reserving software packages like ResQ, Arius, etc. or open-source packages from R / Python

The salary range for this position is $137,000 - $260,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
