As the Senior Manager of Collections Strategies and Analytics, you will be a pivotal leader with exceptional collaboration and communication skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You will leverage cutting-edge data management and analytics techniques to drive the success of the Collections function by defining, implementing, and tracking best-in-class collections strategies. Your role will focus on improving processes and driving business value through data-driven insights and technological advancements. You will work at the intersection of data management, process improvement, communication, and domain knowledge in Retail Risk Management, ensuring consistent process execution and oversight. Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Direct the development and implementation of data-driven strategies for collections, integrating cutting-edge technological improvements.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders, aimed at minimizing loan losses, optimizing collections, and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Identify, quantify, and report all credit risks associated with collections, ensuring comprehensive risk management across all components (People, Data, Process, Technology, and Strategy). Demonstrate a strong understanding of portfolio performance metrics and originations metrics.
  • Oversee the acquisition, processing, and analysis of both structured and unstructured data to support robust reporting and analytics. Ensure data integrity and accuracy through effective data governance practices.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support data analytics and reporting needs. Implement data warehousing solutions to consolidate and manage large datasets efficiently.
  • Develop and implement automated solutions for repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Utilize scripting and automation tools to streamline data processing and reporting workflows.
  • Create and automate detailed performance reports and dashboards to provide real-time insights to stakeholders. Develop early warning systems to monitor and guide collection efforts effectively.
  • Lead projects focused on leveraging data analytics to improve collection efforts and recovery rates. Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop and deploy advanced analytical models.
  • Recommend and implement process enhancements using a test/control framework to drive data-informed decisions that boost profitability. Continuously seek opportunities to optimize and automate processes.
  • Develop and implement policies to support customers in need of loan modifications, based on rigorous data analysis.
  • Monitor and guide collection efforts through detailed performance reports and early warning systems. Ensure that all reporting is accurate, timely, and actionable.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong background in quantitative analysis and data management.
  • Expertise in database management and data analytics tools such as SQL, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Proficiency in data engineering, including designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Experience with large and complex databases.
  • Advanced skills in automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) to automate repetitive tasks and reporting workflows.
  • Familiarity with TRIAD or similar collections risk platforms is highly desired.
  • Proficiency in data science, artificial intelligence, and cloud computing.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • 5 years of experience in retail risk portfolio management, collections, or provisions.
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills applied to portfolio metrics.
  • Proven experience in data analytics, process improvement, and automation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing automated solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring teams.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to drive projects to successful completion.
  • Experience in setting clear goals, providing feedback, and supporting professional development of team members.
  • Excellent conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
