What is the opportunity?

RBC Caribbean Technology is looking for an experienced Senior Manager DevOps and Environment Engineering to lead our DevOps and Test Environment Management teams and to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services to our Caribbean Customers.

You will be responsible for leading this team and provide oversight of the DevOps and Environment Engineering teams to ensure that we provide innovation, thought leadership and maintain a culture of innovation. You will also manage and optimize the resources, processes and the budget of the DevOps team to ensure that the team can effectively manage the growing complexity and volume of their DevOps and Environment Engineering activities and tasks.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for leading and managing DevOps Engineers and aligning to RBC DevOps COE practices
  • Responsible for integration of DevOps resourcing to programs/projects, assuring engagement at the start of the initiative
  • Responsible for managing resources and vendor coordination, driving alignment with RBC practices and efficient usage
  • Effectively communicates and builds rapport with team members, stakeholders and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close
  • Facilitates complex group meetings and conducts information gathering and brainstorming sessions
  • Promotes collaboration and partnering to develop and meet core project objectives
  • Designs and executes continuous improvement of processes to nurture and continuously improve team productivity
  • Selects & builds a high performing diverse team that leverages individual capabilities & strengths
  • Ensures team has adequate training, consulting and tools to deliver objectives and provides expertise, direction, coaching and development to build the team capability in areas such as DevOps, QE, Agile and GenAI

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related (technical) degree / diploma
  • Able to adapt quickly and adopt new technologies to create easy, consumable automation
  • Extensive knowledge of CI/CD process using Jenksins,GitHub, GitHub Actions, ITIL, Jenkins Files, SonarQube, Maven, Vault, Liquibase, Cloudbees, Ansible (AAP) and UrbanCodeDeploy
  • Hands on experience in script development using scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Java, Python and Powershell)
  • Hands on experience using Ansible Tower for Window/Unix environment configuration
  • Experience using source configuration tools and branching strategy (Github)
  • Knowledge of DevOps and SRE operations and test integration processes and tools

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in a variety of test automation tools (Robot Framework, Appium, Cucumber, Selenium, TestNG) and script development using scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python, Gherkin, Bash, etc.)
  • Experience in vendor management
