WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

The Disaster Recovery team loves its data so much, we are creating a new group for Tooling & Automation to better serve our stakeholders. The Tooling & Automation team will manage our primary DR tool (ServiceNow-BCM module), and other supporting tools to ensure that our data miners, risk managers, and DR plan owners have the best possible experience. As the Senior Manager, DR Tooling & Automation, you will collaborate and coordinate on activities including, but not limited to: migration, requirements gathering, UAT and QA testing, process definition and refinement, internal story grooming, access & privileges, and more.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Manage the implementation of multiple concurrent initiatives of varying complexity in a time efficient manner. Initially, this means a major migration project, which bug-fixing existing tooling.
  • Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks. Analyze, mitigate and escalate where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to gather requirements, engage with the platform team, monitor progress through development, QA and UAT processes.
  • Experiment and dig into new versioning and new opportunities to improve automation and enhance existing tool set.
  • Establish strong working relationships across business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners. Collaborate with groups to define and achieve deliverables and ensure initiatives are effectively integrated into RBC procedures and processes.
  • Contribute to ongoing administrative program activities as required.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?

Must have:

  • Applicable education with at least 4 years of applicable experience in an IT environment managing complex programs with a high frequency of requests and multiple priorities.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational, project management and time management capabilities.
  • A strong understanding of technology and/or financial services industry.
  • Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with ServiceNow, especially the BCM module
  • Experience or understanding of disaster recovery processes
  • Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
