The Team
The Global Identity & Access Management (GIAM) organization is responsible for setting the strategy and roadmap for IAM and defining, delivering, operating and governing security controls pertaining to identity and access management across Scotiabank globally. This includes Identity Lifecycle Management, centralized provisioning of workforce identities, certification of workforce identities and accounts, management of privileged access, authentication including Multi-Factor Authentication and Single Sign-On, as well as the selection and integration of IAM solutions.
The role
The Senior Manager of Enterprise Access Governance (EAG) contributes to the overall success of Global Identity and Access Management (GIAM) by managing access governance operations and ensuring initiatives are aligned, executed and delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. In addition, the senior manager will ensure key controls are operating effectively and activities conducted are compliant with the governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
Provide leadership, strategic thinking insights and clear direction on day to day as well as new initiatives related to Access Governance.
Oversee day to day operations to ensure all access controls are operating effectively and smoothly to reduce IAM related risk within the Bank.
Manage all enterprise access certifications and implement processes to ensure certification data is accurate, complete, clear and concise.
Develop communication strategies including escalations for certification campaigns and ensure end-user communication is timely, clear, level-appropriate, and is available in English, French, and Spanish.
Design access management and access governance controls and communicate changes in controls to second and third line of defense.
Create a positive work environment and empowering the team to grow and excel.
Relationship building and working with various teams to assist in completion of access certifications across the enterprise.
Continuously improve and automate where possible to reduce manual efforts in all team processes.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
You possess strong understanding of Identity and Access Management principles, concepts and best practices.
You have minimum 5 years of people leadership experience in an operational role
You have minimum 5 years of Information Security experience in Access Management domain.
You have a good understanding of Identity Governance and Administration solutions including SailPoint Identity solutions.
You have experience defining requirements, processes and effective and efficient operational procedures.
You have a strong understanding of project management methodologies.
You have excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple intake channels efficiently and reprioritization.
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
You have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science
Industry certification is considered an asset (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP)
Fluency in Spanish is considered an asset
