The Senior Manager, GO PMO is responsible for leading the financial plan and governance of the Global Operations' strategic investment spend.
Key responsibilities of the mandate include i) Strategic Investment Portfolio (SIP) financial intelligence and insights ii) monitoring spend & execution as well as governance of initiatives through the investment lifecycle iii) review of business cases from across the business lines in Global Operations

The overall accountabilities support decision making by senior and executive management and key stakeholders within and outside the Division.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Facilitate and support the development and approval of business cases as well as post implementation reviews, by working closely with GO stakeholders.
  • Lead the business case review and challenge by working closely with EBI Finance, Governance Stakeholders & GO Finance to ensure project cost and benefits are properly represented and aligns to GO Strategic objectives.
  • Focus on improving project forecast accuracy to ensure the SIP envelope utilization is fully optimized; Work with partners such as EPMO, Productivity and Finance on monthly reporting.
  • Maintain processes to meet / exceed all project governance standards as developed by the Divisional and Executive Project Management Offices and audit.
  • Monitor GO initiatives and ensure the effective use of the enterprise standard tools and adherence to EPMO project standards by all GO project functions.
  • Monthly data driven portfolio reporting & dashboards including project health, status, risks, issues, benefits, etc. to provide transparency around project execution and support decision-making.
  • Continuously challenge existing processes and standards within and outside the team
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests as required.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • University degree (preferably MBA, or finance/business)
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of working experience
  • Excellent analytical skills with a solid understanding of project performance measurement tools/criteria are essential, as is a demonstrated ability to conceptualize problems and clearly apply analytical techniques for evaluating investments to make meaningful recommendations to Senior Management.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal). The incumbent also requires strong organizational, managerial, interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Expert knowledge of MS applications (Work, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge of project and portfolio management principles
  • Demonstrated relationship management expertise
  • Knowledge of BNS systems (CAPPM, Smart Stream) is an asset
