The Role

We are looking for a Senior Manager with our Market Data Technology team to help move forward our strategy and vision. This is a key position in the Global Banking & Market Engineering - Risk and Valuation Technology team, responsible for supporting and delivering system solutions for Front Office, Middle Office, and Regulatory clients.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including business users, product team, managers, and other technology teams, to understand business requirements, processes, and objectives. Analyze and translate these requirements into actional plans and functional specifications.
  • Drives modernization of legacy applications to increase efficiencies, harmonize the Bank's solutions, as well as keep the Bank's systems software currency maintained.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and leadership for the BA team, and assist Director/Sr. Development Manager in providing input to the team member performance and development plans.
  • Analyze data to extract insights, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations throughout the course of business.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects as a project team member and dealing with on & off hour production or lower environment support issues.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 8+ years experience in financial/IT industry or relevant experience.
  • Experience in Market Data such as Interest rate, IR Volatility, Equity, Inflation curves and relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of system design, data modeling, and software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Well-versed in Market data and related product onboarding experience
  • Possesses strong problem solving and analysis skills followed by good ability to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations and solutions to complex and multi-dimensional problem.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to build consensus and obtain cooperation from stakeholders, as well as time management and organizational skills to effectively manage deliverables and planning of resources.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment where processes and procedures are consistently refined.
  • Ability to adapt and handle multiple tasks/competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum software delivery model.
  • Experience in SQL & CQL query.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio
  • Refinitiv and Bloomberg experience will be an asset.
  • Under-graduate degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
