The Senior Listings Manager, TSX, analyzes, summarizes and recommends action to be taken on a wide variety of corporate finance transactions from both issuers seeking a listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and issuers already listed.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide advice to prospective clients, listed issuers and their advisors on TSX listing matters. This includes providing guidance on the application and interpretation of TSX policies and suggesting alternative structuring options.

  • Timely review and management of applications with a view to promote integrity and maintain a quality marketplace. Quickly gain an understanding of transactions, their risks and impact on all market participants.

  • Be able to act independently and expertly, as well as accurately identifying threshold issues quickly and communicating them appropriately to a Director.

  • Prepare written reports outlining the issuer's operations and affairs (financial statements, management, public distribution, etc.) taking into consideration all relevant requirements, policies and precedents.

  • Communicate and recommend solutions to remedy deficiencies and issues identified.

  • Ensure that listed issuers transact business within the rules and policies of TSX.

  • Participate in special projects as the need arises, including policy and operational projects.

  • Provide regional representation for TSX in various events.

Must-Have Skills:

  • CA, CFA, P.Eng, MBA or LLB designation. Preference will be given to individuals called to the bar in a Canadian jurisdiction.

  • 2 to 7 years of experience in a financial/analytical or legal role, ideally supporting public companies on securities law matters.

  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

  • Excellent analytical, risk assessment, decision making and interpersonal skills are a must.

  • Dedication to excellence in quality work, responsiveness and courteousness in communications with internal and external parties.

  • Experience with financial and business issues including the ability to conduct a detailed analysis of an issuer's affairs and related financial information.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with TSX listing policies and requirements.

  • Familiarity with NI 43-101 technical reports.

  • Solid understanding of IFRS.

  • Working knowledge of French.

  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course and any other industry-related course.

Note: Hybrid Role - 2 days in the Toronto office
