What is the opportunity?
Leads the WMC client enhanced due diligence and cross-borders teams in the application of AML enhanced due diligence requirements and the WMC cross-border policy for all businesses under WMC.
What you will do?
The WMC Cross Border & Enhanced Due Diligence team is part of WMC Business Risk & Internal Controls and support all businesses within Wealth management Canada. The team provides specialized support to WMC executives, senior management and client facing professionals in the areas of enhanced client due diligence and cross-border policy management.
The Senior Manger, reporting to the Director & Head, WMC Business Risk & Internal Controls, will be responsible for the following:
Leadership of a team case managers, responsible for working with client facing professionals and enterprise AML, to complete enhanced due diligence on non-resident, and other clients determined to be high risk.
Leadership of the cross-border team responsible for the application and supervision of the WMC cross-border policies
Management of the case management systems supporting these teams
Manage the WMC referral arrangements register, by working closely with the agreement sponsors and the HRC COI sub-committee.
Responsible for the management of the DS Canada Asia Centre Aging Report and Risk & Compliance Committee, including gathering the Key Risk Indicators ("KRI").
Prepare client submissions for the WMC High Risk Client & PEP Committee and communicate decisions to the business.
Must Have:
Banking or securities background in the areas of risk and compliance
AML background
People Leadership Skills; attention to detail;
Good communication skills, both verbal and written;
Advanced process mapping skills
Excellent time management and analytic thinking
Please note this is role requires you to be in the office minimum 3 days a week.
