What is the opportunity?
Shared Services - Data Service Delivery (DSD) provides security Masterfile as well as pricing data to RBC Investor Services (IS) core business systems globally. The activity is covered on a 24/5 basis through a Follow The Sun model with a presence in Asia, Europe, and North America.


In this role, responsible for global price delivery for North America, Continental European, and Asian clients (Global pricing model) and developing the center of excellence, CPS in Canada. You will support America's offshore model through CPS and take on a critical role in assisting and facilitating the Target Operating Model (TOM) for DSD Canada. In addition, you will be accountable for the quality of the services delivered, as well as promote quality client service with client-focus and client-first mentality

What will you do?

  • To provide direction and support to a team of Pricing Analysts focusing on security pricing and client instructions which impact valuations, and client statements.

  • Provide a high level of service by responding to all client inquiries within a reasonable timeframe in order to maintain the company's image and strengthen client retention

  • Ensure that all securities are priced at month-end in order to produce complete and accurate client statements from custody platforms

  • Responsible for verifying and confirming with pricing suppliers and other pricing sources all pricing data not meeting the required tolerance levels of the entire database

  • Establish communication networks with all business units for the receipt of pricing data

  • Ensure existing procedures are followed and kept informed on all policies and compliance issues

  • Responsible for analyzing and approving all reports generated for all pricing activities from a centralized database as well as individual custody platforms

  • Research, review, and analyze alternate sources other than the existing pricing suppliers for price data on non-exchange and thinly traded securities residing on the database

  • Ensure that all new securities and all inactive securities are transmitted successfully to the Pricing Systems in order for the pricing suppliers to initiate or deactivate a price feed for the said securities

  • Ensure DOP's are kept up to date and all pricing requirements to meet client needs are identified

  • Liaises with Technology support to ensure systems are in sync with the operational environment and additionally identify areas where automation could be pursued

  • Additional responsibilities include training, streamlining processes where required and staff management

What do you need to succeed?


Must-have

  • University degree/College Diploma, preferably in Business or Finance

  • Strong knowledge of markets and securities

  • Knowledge of compliance and industry requirements

  • Understanding of domestic and global investment markets

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
