What is the opportunity?

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Delivery PMO - You would be responsible for end-to-end full project life cycle delivery and ownership of assigned strategic initiatives. Successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously. You will manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives for Global Cybersecurity at RBC. This role develops the detailed work packages, schedules, budgets, identifies the necessary resources and provides regular updates and communications to stakeholders/sponsors. You would also oversee and manage each project deliverable including vendor related deliverables for quality and completion.

What will you do?

  • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business.

  • Provide on-site/remote leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.

  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.

  • Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities.

  • Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project.

  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership.

  • Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues.

  • Deliver appropriate and effective management/executive level communication.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • 10+ years' progressive IT project-related experience (including cybersecurity experience)

  • Excellent and diverse experience in project delivery methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall.

  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.

  • Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills.

  • Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) solutions, etc.

Nice-to-have:

  • Undergraduate degree Business/ IT / Engineering.

  • PMP, CISSP certification or equivalent.

  • Experience implementing Identity & Privileged Access Management (IAM) applications such as Azure Active Directory (AD), SailPoint, Okta, and CyberArk, or implementation of endpoint detection/management solutions such as CrowdStrike and Lookout MES.

  • Experience managing projects in the IT Risk/Security space.
