What is the opportunity?

As part of the Royal Trust, Institutional Trust Services team, the Senior Relationship Manager is responsible for the administration and client support of an assigned book of business, providing timely, efficient, and accurate administration to ensure a seamless delivery of client service and quality client experience. What will you do?

  • Responsible to proactively manage client relationships and to provide superior client service and experience
  • Responsible for accurate and efficient administration of a book of accounts
  • Proactively managing the relationships to grow and retain a long-term high net worth portfolio of clients
  • Responsible for identifying new business and referral opportunities for RBC Wealth Management and RBC Royal Trust
  • Demonstrates sales management strengths and effective and timely sales reporting, business tracking and performance reviews
  • Accountable to seek out, develop, and implement innovative solutions for client service and financial performance consistent within business strategy
  • Understands Institutional Trust Service’s service standards and the need for operational consistency, continuous improvement and consistent client servicing
  • Keeps informed about general investment procedures and philosophies

Must Have

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma or relevant experience
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
  • Excellent written/verbal/electronic communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Flexible in approaching all duties and assignments and shares best practices wherever possible
  • General knowledge of Bank, Pension and Brokerage products and services
  • Previous experience in the Estate and Trust / Pension field and/or Investment Industry

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of relevant legal terminology and concepts
  • STEP Certification / Designation
  • 4-7 years’ experience in Financial Services sector
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset
