Leading a 2 - 5 people's technical team to maintain / support the new KYC and other applications in Caribbean Technology

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

In this role you will translate organization vision into program high level scope and design and seek out industry trends and organization knowledge to understand alternative approaches / solutions. You will work in partnership with the business to determine the best solutions incorporating build, buy or wait recommendations. You will also contribute toward business results as a partner/influencer and facilitate joint planning with the client in the early stages of maintenance project / initiative formation. You will Integrate maintenance project plans and create estimating models as required, refine plan and manage performance against it.

What will you do?

  • Translate organization vision into program high level scope and design

  • Seek out industry trends and organization knowledge to understand alternative approaches / solutions

  • In partnership with the business determine best solutions incorporating build, buy or wait recommendations

  • Facilitate joint planning with the client in the early stages of maintenance project / initiative formation

  • Integrate maintenance project plans and create estimating models as required, refine plan and manage performance against it

  • Facilitate the integration of technology solutions and schedule and cost forecasting and mentor team leads / team members in determining risk based provisions

  • Create metrics and manage with a higher level of information i.e. at the trends and management indicator level; differentiates between project and program metrics

  • Champion strong IT governance in the program decision framework and mentors team members in its development and continuous improvement

  • Resolves complex technical issues and conflicts (including architectural direction vs. task/project constraints);

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or Engineering or related filed

  • Understanding of Core Banking Systems / Processing and technology

  • Leadership acumen and a passion to apply it in a dynamic business environment and willingness to work outside conventional working hours

  • Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)

  • People management and team leading skills

  • Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Systematic, Logical and Quick Thinker

Technical Skills:

  • Relationship DB and SQLServer, SQL, Mango DB concept

  • General Programming skills

  • Java Script, TypeScript, HTML, SCSS/CSS, Java

  • Angular 16, RIG 6, Spring-boot, Maven, JPA

  • Jasmine, Karma, VS Code

  • Intellii, Eclipse

Nice to have:

  • Project Plan and familiar with MIS/PLanview or MS Porject project planning tool

  • Kanban Frame Work / Maintenance Agile Knowledge

  • Task based plans

  • Assumption & risk based plans
