Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration

This is a software developer role within Finance IT Ledgers team. You will be contributing towards development project, designing and delivery of applications needs while working closely with various partners across it. You will be involved in all aspects of development and or maintenance process within a well-established team. The preferred candidate should have computer science degree with strong knowledge of architectural concepts including relational database management system (rdbms), sql, ssis packages, python, spark, api microservices, .net, big data platform, any cloud technology with some exposure to functional programming.

What will you do?

  • Contribute to technical design, development, and implementation of applications.

  • Design, build, and maintain by leveraging best practices alongside a global development team.

  • Ensure code quality, performance, scalability, responsiveness of application.

  • Conduct and contribute to design and code ensuring our apps are scalable, testable, and maintainable.

  • Work in an agile team environment which is fast paced, fun and collaborative.

  • Working with different rbc internal teams for software feature delivery, support, and bug fixes.

  • Provide assistance to the application support team in troubleshooting and resolving production issues.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • 2+ years' experience in python, spark, and api microservices.

  • 2+ years' working experience in the areas of software development.

  • 2+ years' experience in ms sql, ssis packages and stored procedures.

  • Technical understanding and strong knowledge of architectural concepts

  • Experience leading and dealing with business, operations and technical audience ranging from architects to technical analysts/developers. Comfortable facilitating and participating in technical discussions and decisions.

Nice-to-have:

  • Hands-on experience of coding and software development for finance applications.

  • Devops tools like helios which includes aqua scan, sonarqube and nexus.

  • Cloud platform experience such as openshift.

  • 2+ years of experience in. Net

  • Sdlc, agile, iterative waterfall and other software lifecycle frameworks

experience and understanding of financial reporting application
