We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing team. This role will be based in our corporate head office – Downtown Toronto. This is an on-site position.

Job Overview:

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a crucial role within the finance team, partnering with corporate support functions such as Marketing, IT, HR, and other key departments. This role is responsible for financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to drive operational efficiency, enhance cost management, and support strategic decision-making. The SFA will work closely with department heads to ensure financial discipline and provide insights that contribute to the company’s overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Support:

  • Act as a trusted finance partner to corporate support departments, helping them understand their P&L, budgets, and financial performance.
  • Support the implementation of financial strategies aligned with corporate goals.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to assist in decision-making.

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

  • Lead financial analysis, reporting, and variance analysis for corporate functions.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to department heads and leadership.
  • Identify key financial trends, risks, and opportunities to enhance business performance.

Corporate Business Partnership:

  • Work closely with department heads to develop, monitor, and manage operating and capital budgets.
  • Support the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
  • Assist in monitoring financial performance against plans and suggest corrective actions.
  • Provide financial guidance to Marketing, IT, HR, and other corporate teams to improve cost efficiency and resource allocation.
  • Support quarterly business reviews, helping teams interpret financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial dashboards and KPIs for corporate functions.

Team Collaboration:

  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment and support team development.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the finance function.

Education, Credentials, Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
  • 7+ years of related experience, with increasing levels of responsibility

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience working with corporate support functions in a multi-site organization
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with the ability to organize information, analyze large data sets and present in a clear manner
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role with a strong focus on strategic finance and client focused, anticipatory business partnering
  • Strong financial reporting and analytical skills
  • Excellent knowledge of financial and accounting principles, regulations, and practice
  • Exceptional communicator and excel at working with cross-functional teams to reach alignment in ambiguous situations
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to think strategically and contribute to the overall organizational goals
  • Strong leadership skills Adaptability and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong ability to prioritize, delegate and handle large volume of requests / inquiries
