Sr. Planning Manager (Global Security)

What is the Opportunity?

The Global Security Team focuses on driving greater business resilience from complex cyber attacks and physical threats, while enabling best-in-class identification and management of risk. Our team is integral to protecting RBC's digital assets and brand, its employees, and clients' trust, globally. Reporting to Director, Global Security Planning Office, the successful candidate will be accountable for providing financial management, strategic advice and analysis to the Senior Leadership Team to improve financial performance, drive cost savings and the quality of business decisions for spend managed by Global Security.

What will you do?

• Provide central leadership, expertise and support of the monthly business review process with Global Security Executives and delegates related to financial planning and management.
• Contribute to annual prioritization to ensure financial budgets and business outcomes are in alignment with Global Security strategy and targets set out by Global Security Leadership in partnership with Finance and budget owners.
• Streamline and improve the effectiveness of the planning/budgeting process
• Provide financial oversight of projects/programs/subsidiaries to ensure funding and approval are in place.
• Assist in PAR and business case creation, review of financial options and offer analysis.
• Responsible for consolidation, management and validation of cost savings initiatives.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

• Business degree, CFA/CPA/MBA or equivalent relevant experience
• Understanding of financial and procurement processes
• Knowledge and experience with business cases and PARs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate horizontally across the organization
• Proven planning, organizational and problem solving skills

Nice-to-have:

• Understanding of security project financials
• Experience managing budget greater than $10MM
• Strong understanding of T&O's direction, priorities and trends in technology and the market
