What is the opportunity?

Senior Product Owner has oversight and accountability of strategic initiatives and support for all Client Reporting, Market Data and Analytic products for Wealth Management Canada. They will manage a team of Product Owners and Product Managers, as well, as be responsible to deliver business outcomes on initiatives.

What will you do?

  • Defining and conveying the vision of business expectations, user experience and requirements

  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps in conjunction with Product Owners and ensure they deliver on digital strategy objectives and align to business goals.

  • Coordinate and work with leaders from cross-functional teams such as business, technology, operations, vendor, and consultant groups

  • Develop consensus and direct activities with key business teams such as procurement, legal, compliance, training, communications, change enablement, execution & delivery, research & design.

  • Collaborate with Program Manager resources to ensure financial tracking and milestone deliverables are met or escalation/mitigation plans developed to resolve issues in a timely manner and with full transparency to stakeholders and program participants.

  • Define and monitor Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and specific program success metrics, ensuring that all stakeholders are bought in, and measurements are in place to track outcomes.

  • Support and manage product backlogs and review sprints outcomes to ensure the business success.

  • Following principles to write, discuss and add user stories to product backlogs; prioritizing product backlogs by business values during the sprint planning meeting.

What do you need to succeed?

Must haves:

  • 5+ years of product management and/or business development experience

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in portfolio management and/or Client Reporting

  • Proven collaboration and change management skills.

  • Post-secondary education (University or College) or equivalent experience in a similar role.

  • Experience managing internal and external partners that contribute to the delivery of products

  • Ability to work effectively in situations involving rapid change, shifting priorities, and ability to effectively manage multiple projects.

Nice-to-have:

  • Critical thinking discipline with ability to think outside the box and consider innovative new approaches.

  • Problem identification, analytical and resolution skills required to support escalated issue resolution and/or oversight requirements of complex processes/programs.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Client experience mindset and holistic thinker understanding downstream implications.
