Our Corporate Communications team supports TMX's long-term growth strategy by positioning TMX Group as a client-centric global leader in the public domain and in the media. Working in close collaboration with TMX Group's business areas, as well as at the corporate level, corporate communications deploys a broad set of specialized skills to develop and execute comprehensive plans to help achieve business goals and advance key initiatives: including key messaging, media relations, and content development.
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, the Student Intern - Corporate Communications will provide support across the function, with an emphasis on content creation and distribution. Primary responsibilities include executing on social media campaigns that support the company's external communications goals, and supporting on strategic projects across TMX's business lines.
Key Accountabilities:
Content development and distribution: Draft copy for and publish our daily campaigns on LinkedIn and Twitter
Community management: Expand TMX's reach by engaging with our online community
Media relations: Monitor for coverage of key topics, and provide support on projects and initiatives as needed
Writing: Draft communications materials, including executive remarks, key messages, and articles
Measurement: Measure the team's impact with monthly reports
Must haves:
Currently completing an undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, or a related field
A clear, concise and grammatical writer
Experience managing social media accounts, ideally on behalf of an organization
Professional and diplomatic in all internal and external communication
Nice to haves:
Interested in working at the centre of Canada's capital markets
Working environment:
Hybrid role: 3-4 days per week in the downtown Toronto office
4 month Co-op Internship: January 6, 2025 - April 25, 2025
