About the opportunity:

In this pivotal role, you will work with a professional team to deliver the Public Accounts, which involves preparing the annual financial statements with 350+ consolidated entities, the accompanying disclosure notes, and executive briefing materials. You will manage the corporate consolidation reporting system, data, and processes with multiple business partners to ensure detailed and accurate financial reporting and internal control protocols. Your strong business acumen and experience in consolidation, external financial reporting, financial system, and change management will be key to your success in this role.

We are a collaborative team of financial professionals responsible for supporting critical activities throughout the fiscal reporting cycle, including:

  • Preparing the provincial consolidated financial statements and disclosure notes with consolidation of a large volume of different type of consolidated entities.
  • Leading the compilation of the annual Public Sector Salary Disclosure process.
  • Providing technical support and strategic advice on transformational financial reporting initiatives including implementation of new accounting standards and addressing audit findings to multiple stakeholders, including 25+ ministries, central agencies, and the executive management team.

  • Coordinating with central agencies, ministries, and other stakeholders to ensure unified reporting and processes.

  • How do I qualify?

    Mandatory

  • This position requires an accounting designation (Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA)).
