As the Manager, Vendor Management, you will be responsible for developing and implementing market data solutions and strategy across Scotia Global Asset Management (SGAM). This role provides leadership in market data administration, cost-saving initiatives, vendor relationship management, and compliance and controls. Additionally, the Manager will oversee vendor performance, contract negotiations, and budget management to ensure optimal service delivery, financial efficiency, and alignment with organizational goals.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

Vendor Relationship Management
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key vendors to ensure optimal service delivery.
• Conduct performance reviews, manage escalations, and resolve vendor-related issues proactively.

Contract Negotiations and Management
• Lead negotiations for new and existing vendor contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions.
• Ensure timely renewals, amendments, and adherence to contractual obligations.

Cost Management and Optimization
• Monitor vendor expenses, investigate variances, and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Develop easy-to-understand cost allocation models and periodically review policies for improvements.

Management Reporting, Forecasting, and Planning
• Oversee budget forecasting, planning, and periodic management reporting for vendor-related expenses.
• Prepare ad-hoc analyses of market data, research, and subscription costs to support executive decision-making.

Compliance and Risk Management
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and contractual terms.
• Collaborate with audit teams to manage reviews and ensure proper documentation of processes.

Inventory and Data Management
• Maintain accurate vendor inventory records, including costs, contracts, and usage data.
• Streamline user access and service updates in alignment with organizational policies.


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or financial planning, preferably in financial services.
• Strong expertise in budget management, forecasting, and cost optimization.
• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with market data vendors (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet) and subscription services is a plus.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
